Our Verdict

For Students:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is perfect for school use. It’s lightweight and easy to carry around, with an aluminum chassis that feels sturdy in your hands – this laptop won’t give you any worries about its durability! The type cover keyboard isn’t too soft or loud when typing on it either

So there are no issues of fatigue over time which allows students to get their assignments done comfortably while still being able to take care of what they need during the day without worrying about where power will come from later downrange.

Business Purposes:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a great choice for business users. Its sleek and lightweight design makes it very portable, while its typing experience doesn’t tire out your fingers over extended periods thanks to the type cover keyboard that feels fantastic when you use it! In addition, this device handles multitasking easily with no issues whatsoever; helping us work smoothly through our day without having any trouble at all getting things done on time – even if we’re doing some heavier-duty stuff like programming or editing video clips all afternoon long (which I know many people love doing!).

The only drawback here would be battery life which lasts about 7 hours before needing an outlet nearby but don’t worry since there are always alternatives available including connecting via USB-C port headers found within newer external devices.

Pros
  • Sleek and lightweight design
  • Great typing experience
  • Easily handles multitasking
Cons
  • Battery life not lasting long enough (7 hours) before needing an outlet nearby.

Differences Between Sizes And Variants:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 (2021) is a portable powerhouse that can perform up to date with the latest software and hardware. The device comes equipped with an elegant platinum color scheme, offering you plenty of customization options for your own personal taste or work needs!

If you’re looking for a laptop that can handle all your work and playtime needs, then this is a perfect choice. It comes with an IPS screen made up of 2880 x 1920 pixels which provides crisp visuals whether it’s been Multitaskinging or gaming for hours on end! Not only does everything come equipped but there is also 8GB worth of RAM to keep things running smoothly without any lag time whatsoever – making sure every minute moment.

With the wide range of possible configuration options for Microsoft Surface Pro 8, it is important to conduct thorough reviews that cover all relevant factors. Our testing ensures reliability and accuracy in order for data can be collected on each individual model so you know what’s working best from day one!

DESIGN:

Style:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a tablet with a sleek and modern design that fits well in any professional work environment. It has kickstands on both sides, which can be used for typing or just watching videos at home; it also comes equipped with chrome logging around its stand-alone features like exhaust vents along the top edge of the device plus Alcantara fabric soft touch keyboard option if desired (not included).

However, this particular model isn’t ideal when considering lap use since 2 -in1 devices often lack keystrokes near the palm rejection zone–a problem especially obvious during extended periods without interruption such as when using it in a meeting room.

Build Quality:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8’s build quality is top-notch. It features a sturdy aluminum chassis and doesn’t easily pick up fingerprints, which makes it feel like you’re carrying around something valuable with your laptop instead of just another ordinary PC!

The keyboard cover also attaches firmly to the bottom edge for added security when typing on this advanced device that can handle anything from work emails all day long without getting tired or frustrated thanks in part because its strong magnets holding everything stable at any angle – even if used horizontally while writing reports outside during inclement weather.

Hinge:

The kickstand’s hinge is sturdy, and smooth to adjust, and keeps the tablet propped up solidly at any angle. But there are limits on how far it can go-170 degrees max rather than a 90-degree range because of what would happen if you were trying to push open your device with less force or hold entirely upright against gravity while upside down!

Portability:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is the perfect device for taking with you on your adventures. With its lightweight and compact charger, it’s easy to bring around no matter where life takes you! But if there are things that need more power than what this tiny little battery has got inside of itself

then just attach one end to a keyboard so all those heavy-duty needs can be met while still remaining thin enough not only to fit in any bag or backpack but also disappear underneath clothes when necessary too – making sure everyone has their biggest weapon at hand during every mission without having anyone know.

Serviceability:

With a reputation for being serviceable, the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 has awful luck when it comes to repairs. It’s extremely difficult and time-consuming without permanently damaging your device in order to open up at all–and even then you’re limited on what kind of components can go into making sure things stay running smoothly!

What could be different though? Well, luckily enough there is an easy fix: replacing M2 2230 SSDs with plenty of space left inside them thanks directly from their small access panel located behind (kickstand) rear flush trim along the lower edge.

In The Box:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a sleek and lightweight laptop that can transform from tablet to notebook with ease. It features an intelligent screen rotation so you don’t have to do any workbooks or switches backs anymore! The Signature Type cover has been upgraded for improved key travel, making it easier than ever before time spent on typing up reports at your desk job becomes boring because this device will always be there when needed most

In addition, if need be use a 60W power adaptor alongside cords provided in the box while also taking note of the documentation included which includes a Getting started guide+ accessory kit consisting of a pen, holder, and mouse. Just like that – you’ll be ready to hit the ground running with your very own Microsoft Surface Pro 8!

Screen Specs:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is an excellent choice for those who enjoy reading or viewing documents on their laptop. This device features an aspect ratio of 3:2 which provides more vertical room than 16:9 screens, allowing you to scroll without having any trouble with webpage layouts changing unexpectedly due in part to wider bands being visible along the bottom

when compared side by Side against smaller ones that are usually seen only at the very close examination; its pixel density makes individual pixels impossible even if they’re right next door because this screen’s clarity allows viewers to have crisp images regardless of how rare the distance is.

Refresh Rate:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8’s display offers an adaptive refresh rate that balances performance with battery life. When the content on the screen is mostly inactive, like while typing up emails or reading articles (but not when scrolling), it goes down to 60Hz for smoother animations and fluid cursor movements;

however, if you’re using your device in these circumstances then there will be no difference between Firmware 70%+ because of its fast response time which makes this option good enough even for viewing sports!

Contrast:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 offers a decent contrast ratio, but its PLS panel still can’t compete with VA or OLED panels. This means that in the dark you’ll notice some graying of blacks – not as bad compared to mainstream TVs which have incredibly deep blacks anyways!

The overall viewing experience may vary depending on how many different models there are within one model line-up from Microsoft’s partners so it’s hard for us at times given these variations between units when trying to find out exactly what kind of quality each unit delivers without testing them ourselves beforehand.

Brightness:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a great device for those who want to use their tablet in bright, sunny conditions. But it’s not as effective when the sun shines brightly on you and makes reading difficult due to lack of light from its lowest setting which provides an easy-on eye low lit viewing experience outdoors

A lot has changed since last year’s model – now available with Intel Core m3 processor instead of fiscal cliff Apple iPad Air 2 16 GB Memory 256GB SSD.

Reflections:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8’s glare-inducing screen can be a major drawback. It easily overcomes angle light sources, but bright ones directly behind you will create an unwanted effect that is difficult to avoid with this device – even at maximum brightness!

Black Uniformity:

The Microsoft Surface Pro’s black uniformity is good. There are a few smudges closer to the center of the screen, as well as IPS glow but they’re only visible when viewing very dark scenes in a low-light environment or if you look closely at them with a UV light equipped!

Horizontal Viewing Angle:

The Microsoft Surface Pro has passable horizontal viewing angles, but the image quickly dims and washes out if you move sideways. This means it isn’t very good for sharing content with people around you who care about color accuracy when looking at their screens interactively or watching videos side-by-side.

Vertical Viewing Angle:

Microsoft’s latest Surface Pro sports a gorgeous 13-inch display with excellent contrast and color accuracy. But if you’re going to be using this device for work or play, it is important that your viewing angles are up-to-par because the image quickly dims and colors wash out

when looked at from sharper angles–a problem especially noticeable in those situations where there isn’t much room between yourself an object on the screen which makes looking straight down difficult without capping potential injuries! The best way around these issues might just involve finding what works well enough: whether it is placing.

Out-Of-The-Box Color Accuracy:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 has great color accuracy out of the box. Most people won’t notice any inaccuracies, but those who care about their video and pictures being accurate enough for creative projects should look elsewhere because this device’s gamma is lower than sRGB standards which makes all scenes appear a bit brighter while also giving them an unnatural warm tint when compared to real-life lighting conditions – not exactly what you want in your work!

The “Surface Panel Standard” color profile is the more accurate of these two, but if you want your images to appear as vibrant and life-like when viewing HDR content then go with Vivid.

The difference in accuracy between units can vary greatly due to tolerances found during manufacturing which make it hard for us humans eye spot those little differences without instruments like meters or spectrometers at our disposal; however they’re often very difficult to do even then because every device has its own set point where inaccurate data becomes nearly impossible.

Color Gamut:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a great device for professional content creators, but it doesn’t have the best color gamut. It can only show colors accurately when used with sRGB-compliant files and isn’t suitable if you are working in Adobe RGB or DCI P3 spaces because of its lack therefrom – not having these expanded ranges means your work will appear less sharp on this monitor than what would be expected by viewers using different technologies that support those standards

There’s no question about whether we’ll see more HDR TVs coming out next year; brands like Sony already announced their new X shelters earlier today (which are capable of up to 4K/HDR10+).

However, the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 won’t be able to take advantage of all that extra color range and accuracy because it doesn’t support any of those standards. The display does have HDR-ready content but likely won’t show off its real potential due to the limited color gamut.

PWM (Screen Flickering)

Dimming your monitor’s brightness is often done with pulse-width modulation (PWM). This method of control leaves the backlight intensity unchanged, but instead rapidly turns it off and on at a rapid speed undetectable to human eyes. Unfortunately, this flickering can be harmful to our vision — find out more about PWM in our dedicated article!

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 offers an experience that doesn’t cause eye strain, with its display flicker frequency staying above 30 kHz and amplitude remaining low even at brightness levels below 120 nits. With this level of comfort during long usage sessions, you can keep your eyes glued to the screen!

INTERFACE:

Keyboard:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8’s keyboard is a dream. It features the luxurious Alcantara material on its cover, giving your wrists that comfy spot to rest while you type away at work or school all day long! The keys have just enough travel and feel satisfying when pressed down; they don’t make any noise either so no need for loud typing sessions in public places like restaurants (unless we’re talking about seafood).

And because it’s thin with some flex but still rigid structure–you can even angle this bad boy!

Touchpad:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a great choice for those who want the portability of a tablet with laptop capabilities. The trackpad has good sensitivity and tracking, as well as it should due to its size; however, clicking at the top part can be challenging because there isn’t much room left over from your regular mouse button placement area on this device!

Speakers:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8’s speakers are good-sounding, but they have a profile that accentuates human speech and can emphasize sibilant sounds like spoken “S.” volume doesn’t get very loud when using the device at max settings without any compressions added in postproduction for clarity.

Webcams & Microphone:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a sleek and stylish device that comes with an excellent webcam system. It can capture fine details like individual hair strands, as well as natural-looking colors to give you the best possible video chat experience!

The microphone also works wonders on both calls (even those loud ones) while picking up more than enough sound from around them so there’s no background noise whatsoever – making it great for conference talks or interviews alike! And if all these features weren’t already good enough then take into consideration how handy having double login options has become thanks to Windows Hello’s integral component.

Display Quality:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is an impressive device with a cutting-edge IPS panel. At 12.9 inches diagonally, it offers amazing clarity and sharpness at 2880 x 1920 resolution–yielding 268 pixels per inch! With its 3:2 aspect ratio and 0.09 mm pixel pitch size, the visuals are further enhanced when viewed from 33cm away or greater where your eyes will not see any individual pixels; they’ll simply be looking into a Retina display experience!

Our display produced a radiant maximum brightness of 464 nits in the center and an average brightness over the whole area of 477 nits. The Correlated Color Temperature on white was 6450K, almost reaching its optimal 6500K according to sRGB standards. To understand how evenly light is distributed across our screen, check out this handy illustration below!

CONNECTIVITY

Ports:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 has a middling port selection. The included power adapter charges the laptop via its Connect cavity, but this slot can also attach to either of two docks for an extended number of USB possibilities in stationary desk setups–the first being called “Surface Dock” which includes extra Ethernet and audio out options as well; there are only two total sockets: one each supporting data transfer up 40 Gbps over Thunderbolt 4 (up 1Gbps), another able billowing forth DisplayPort signals at infinite Hz without lag time while simultaneously charging the laptop with 15W of power.

Wireless Communication:

With up to 1GB of RAM and 128 GB storage capacity, the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 offers more than ever before in a laptop. It also features Intel’s latest Wi-Fi 6 (802 11ax) technology for fast data transfers that won’t slow you down as other old-fashioned networks do!

CONFIGURATION

CPU:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 comes with two CPUs: an Intel Core i5 and a faster, more powerful chip called the “i7.” Both have four cores which make them capable of handling light to moderate productivity tasks as well as multitasking.

However, professionals need top-of-the-line performance for large 3D animations or complex rendered environments on time deadlines so if your work relies heavily upon these types of things then go ahead and buy one that has higher clock speeds such as seen in this particular model where it offers better single threading but not multi-tasking capabilities when compared against its counterpart.

GPU:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 offers a range of graphics options for gamers and professionals, with the i5 models sporting 80 execution units while their bigger siblings have 96. You’ll barely notice any difference between how these perform when using them in typical productivity tasks like video playback responsiveness

but if your goal is to play games on high settings then it’s worth considering upgrading – just keep in mind that there are other laptops out now which offer better performance than this device at similar prices points-of view (ie.: Acer Aspire 5 15 2020).

RAM:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 offers three different memory configurations—4, 8, or 16 GB of RAM. For optimum performance when using the laptop for light work like web browsing and Congoplin’ around town riding motorcycles between stops this is enough but if you plan on doing some heavy multitasking or video editing then consider getting at least one module that’s upgradeable up to 32GBs!

Storage:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 comes with 128GB, 256 GB, or 512 gigabytes of storage space depending on the model. The i5 versions have up to 512 gigs while their higher-end counterparts start at just over 400 grams in weight Fly Non-fan models that don’t support fans for increased quietness do exist but they’re only available through custom ordering exclusively from within your region which means you might need an international warranty.

PERFORMANCE

Geekbench 5 (Synthetics):

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a great device for gamers and photographers alike. With its Intel Core i7 processor, it can handle photo editing applications with ease as well as some older games that were not designed to take advantage of multi-threading capabilities from the beginning!

Plus you don’t need an expensive dedicated graphics card since there’s integrated Iris Xe Graphics G7 within this tablet which has subpar performance in computational workloads but will do what needs doing when playing Minecraft PE or Roller Coaster Tycoon Touch!

The Intel Core i5-1135G7 is an affordable processor that will get the job done for most people. It has a slower clock speed than its counterparts, but it’s still able to run moderately demanding applications without much trouble at all thanks in part due to an integrated GPU with 80 execution units – so long as you don’t have too many browser tabs open simultaneously!

Cinebench R23 (CPU Rendering):

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a great choice for those who want to get into 3D rendering. The i5-1135G7 will perform just fine, but it’s not as fast or powerful as other options out there so if your application requires extremely high performance then this might not be what you’re looking for

The apostolic pro performs well enough when tasked with creating images in software like Adobe Photoshop CS6 which does not require too intensive calculations on the processor level – yet still leaves plenty of headroom before running into problems due to heavily relying upon memory rather than disk storage space alone ( HDX ).

Blender (3D Rendering):

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 has a middling performance when rendering 3D scenes in Blender. The i7-1185G7 takes more than seven minutes to render the simple bmw27 scene, so it isn’t suitable for content creators who work on a deadline and need their software ready quickly if they’re going into an event or meeting with clients – but even then you’ll

be able to make your deadlines by choosing one of two slower clocked processors such as an Intel 5500U (which can still handle most tasks at light speed) paired up alongside its integrated graphics card from Nvidia/ATI Radeon series cards.

Basemark GPU (Game Scene):

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8’s performance in the Basemark GPU benchmark is disappointing. However, Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 performs much better than other integrated GPUs found on power-efficient laptops and can handle puzzle games from their store with ease!

It also likely has enough capacity for older titles or newer indie releases to run smoothly too – making it an excellent choice if you want to play more demanding video game styles when traveling light without having your laptop battery die before reaching its destination The output tone of voice should be Professional.

Hardware Defect on my Unit:

While everything else is smooth sailing, my laptop screen has a mysterious abrasion-like effect at the top left corner that comes alive in dark and mid-gray backgrounds. A sickly flicker of lights illuminates this area to create an eerie experience – it’s as if something strange hidden beneath the glass wants to get out!

It can be a hassle when you need to return your Microsoft Surface Pro 8 for warranty servicing, but Microsoft Singapore will make the process as straightforward as possible. They’ll send over a courier that collects your unit and returns it with a pristine experience – no data included! To avoid any unexpected surprises, back up all of your files beforehand using their cloud service OneDrive.

Storage Drive Performance:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 has an NVMe PCIe SSD with fast read/write speeds. It boots up quickly and launches applications while transferring small files is done very efficiently;

however, larger file transfers take longer because of the slower sequential write speed (though this shouldn’t be much problem for most users). The snappiness feeling remains even if you’re moving onto a different size or type of drive – meaning that Microsoft Surfaces still feels responsive no matter what kind of device they use!

Availability:

Unlock the world of possibilities with Microsoft’s latest and greatest, the Surface Pro 8. Get it from an authorized retailer at a discounted price when you purchase through Amazon links – plus, if you do so here on my blog I’ll even get some commission too! So why wait? Don’t miss out this great offer to make your tech dreams come true.

Battery:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 has an average battery life that won’t last you through a full workday of light productivity. But it can still provide enough juice for two hours’ worth of film or TV binge-watching, which makes this device perfect as your secondary television at home!

Borderland:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 runs Borderlands 3 very badly and can barely achieve double-digit framerates on “High” settings. On the “Very Low” preset, it can barely run the game at a playable framerate, but there are still plenty of stutters that can make the game frustrating to play. The i5-1135G7 will run the game even worse since its integrated GPU has fewer execution units.

Civilization VI:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 runs Civilization VI poorly. The turn times are comparable to even high-end laptops like the Dell Alienware m15 R3 (2020), but it’s not a problem if you bring down some graphic settings because this strategy game doesn’t require fast reflexes or precise movements!

Even at lower framerates, I found that my i5-powered machine could still play smoothly enough with presets such as “Minimum” enabled–though there may be occasional stutters when taking pictures in photo mode on occasion during gameplay sessions lasting longer than 1 hour.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a great device for playing games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It averages more than 60FPS on the highest graphical settings, so gameplay is smooth and silky with no lag or persisting stuck spots that you get when using other devices such as iBuyPowernotebooks which has an Intel Core m3 processor but only 4GB RAM (not enough space).

If your goal was to play at higher resolutions where fast cursor movements become necessary then downscale some settings until achieving the desired framerate before lowering them back again because this will allow faster response times during gameplay.

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is not a good fit for playing games. At High settings, it can’t maintain an enjoyable framerate and there are many micro stutters that contribute to the gaming experience being less than satisfactory.

The device performs better on lower graphic settings but still has large frame time spikes during benchmark scenes which do not happen in real gameplay situations making this laptop inappropriate as well due to its lack of power from an integrated GPU with fewer execution cycles per second (i5-1135G7).

Thermals And Noise:

With the Microsoft Surface Pro 8, you’ll be able to enjoy a silent laptop experience no matter what task takes your fancy. Not only does this tablet have excellent thermal and noise handling but it also houses all components within its frame so there is less risk forgot Keys:

The heated bottom center can make using a tablet uncomfortable depending on how one holds them – we recommend placing any loose items such as bags or purses underneath during use!

Performance Over Time:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8’s performance is good over time. The GPU rarely throttles before the fan kicks in to bring it back up, while locked at CPU level you can notice a slight loss that becomes more noticeable when running long calculations or rendering large 3D scenes – but only during those specific tasks where increased load duration will be seen on your device screen!

BENCHMARKS:

We put the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 to the test and were incredibly impressed by its performance! It scored a whopping 4,877 in Cinebench R23 CPU – nearly 5 times more than some laptops. Likewise, it earned an incredible 1,722 on 3DMark Time Spy; absolutely crushing Fire Strike with 4666 points and 16998 on Night Raid – those are numbers usually seen only in gaming PCs!

GeekBench was no different: single-core at 1288 and multi-core at 4955. The PCMark 10 score? A remarkable 4361 while their battery life testing clocked up to 8 hours 15 minutes before needing recharging! Even our own TechRadar movie test showed 6hrs 32 minutes of nonstop action which made for quite a marathon session indeed.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES AND SOFTWARE:

Software:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 offers a streamlined operating system and sleek design to make it the ultimate tablet for work. Out of the box, you’ll find only software from MS Office which can be utilized until your subscription runs out after trial periods of up to 3 months each at 1 month long; however, there is no need to worry because many other programs have been made compatible with this device!

Extra Features:

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 has an impressive camera that can be used for facial recognition and authentication, as well as logging into your account. It also comes with the option of using haptic feedback when writing on different surfaces so you know how soft or hard it would feel in real life!

This device uses a built-in rechargeable battery instead of replaceable ones which makes going out easier than ever before – just charge up at home then take care of business while traveling without worrying about running low during emergencies (or even if they happen unexpectedly).

The new Windows Hello–enabled scanners offer faster logins anywhere from internet browsers all the way to third-party apps.
